Scene Three: Act One [Audio/Video]
Oct. 9th, 2012 11:30 pm( Private Video Broadcast to Rocket Channels )
[Audio Broadcast- Public]
A great author once wrote of Utopia, a seemingly perfect country- entirely devoid of the issues that face any other society. Lately I have come to wonder, are we not in such a world? Is this not a Utopia? Perhaps not nearly so quaint as Sir More wrote of, but indeed; one might see many of the same qualities here in this world. Here, there are no true 'wars', no great battles pitting vast armies against each other for glory or conquest...One might come upon currency here with such ease, and goods are readily available to all anywhere you might visit. The people seem to live in perfect symbiosis with the land, with the creatures of this world...and yet, one might find that even this world is plagued by troubles. Criminal syndicates, wild beasts attacking at random, outbreaks of strange viruses, all manner of strange phenomena.
Even in a 'perfect' world, there is strife. And indeed, such strife is key to this world's very existence. These beasts, these creatures and the ones who step forward to capture and train them, they fight. Perhaps I was wrong earlier, perhaps there are wars. Great and terrible wars, every single day. Trainers, commanders of entire battalions, fierce troops composed of these strange creatures waging wars against the wild herds, their own fellows, and the leaders of would-be Gymnasiums hosted by 'masters' of a certain type. It is the quintessence of living here, the natural state of this world. A battlefield, however civil, is still a battlefield...and how tenuous our hold over that battlefield may well be...Assuming, of course, the race of humans in this world even possesses a hold at all.
...I seem to have gone off on a terrible tangent, haven't I?
[The speaker sighs in frustration and, to careful ears, a slightly apparent exhaustion.]
No, I seem to have started off on a terrible tangent. My original purpose for this windy, entirely over-analytical broadcast was to pose a simple series of questions to the population and any knowledgeable laymen.
Perhaps this will be of no surprise, but I am a researcher. Until very recently, I have been spending a great deal of time and effort to research a specific type of pokemon. However, my research kept me in one place...now, I would like to continue my research out in the wild. I wonder if anyone would happen to know of any legends, myths, or stories of places in this world connected to the ghost or dark types? I am quite aware of Lavender Town and Mahogany, and do plan to visit those places in due time. But...My curiosity bids me to want to seek these places out, you see. To learn, to know all that can be known about these creatures, their strange powers, their habitats and habits. Places where many ghosts or dark types gather, places with legends or stories connecting them to these types. It is said that a journey of one-thousand miles begins with but a single step, and this is certainly true for any kind of research.
Thus, I pose my inquiry to any who would give me an ear. If you might know of such places, or know such stories, I ask only that you might share them with me. So that we may all benefit from the knowledge they may contain.

I must apologize for the tone of my last network transmission. To all of you who responded, I thank you for your concerns. I am slowly recovering from the injuries I sustained, as such my research has been delayed.
To those involved, expect a report on the project within the week.

[A groan, obviously pained. Some labored breaths.]
Where is the blasted hydrocodone? Med bay staff cannot get here quickly enough!
[Another groan, a bit longer this time. Then a hiss.]
This isn't over...I have a surprise in store for those impudent fools.

[Greetings from the desk of Agnus, fellow Rockets! Agnus is seated at his desk, the camera angled to the whiteboard behind him, and some stacks of papers are at the side.]
Hello, everyone. I would like to remind all of the kind souls who have volunteered their pokemon to the Goldenrod labs that research trials will begin as of this announcement. Anyone who has agreed to allow their pokemon for testing may contact me at leisure to coordinate days and times for best convenience.
[He reaches over to shuffle through his papers for a few moments, then nods thoughtfully.]
Thank you, the experiment is nearing fruition.

[Hello, fellow Rockets. Someone is wearing a delightfully pleased grin right now and sorting very carefully through a few stacks of papers. What's on them, you might ask? Several approved request forms, numerous blueprints, and a collection of charts and data for his brand-new project!]
My fellows, I am very pleased to announce that my project has been approved by the Administration of the Research and Development department. To this end, I humbly extend an offer to any of you who possess psychic-type pokemon. If you could please speak with me at your earliest convenience, I require subjects for the next phase of my research experiments.

((OOC: This post is a general invitation to all Rockets who own/use psychic-types to offer time in simulations for data collection. Any Rockets interested in letting their pokemon participate in his experiments are free to contact Agnus IC in here as well.))

Scene Two: Act One [Video/Action]
Jun. 6th, 2012 07:43 pm[The feed opens up to Agnus, surrounded by books and papers sitting at his nifty-looking desk in the Goldenrod Rocket Labs building in an office. He is currently shuffling through pages in what appears to be a...manual of gems and precious metals? Seems that he just sat the gear down and forgot about it, but then he turns to look at the camera and shifts his monocle.]
Would anyone happen to know a few decent training spots around the Goldenrod area? I've come into the possession of several new pokemon from eggs that lack abilities. I would like to get my team up to snuff. Any assistance would be appreciated.
[He quietly shuts the feed off for the time being, then goes back to his research.]
((Rockets of the Goldenrod labs are free to approach him, he's just sitting around doing research ATM! o/))

Scene One: Act Four [Video/Action]
May. 28th, 2012 08:45 pm[The camera opens to an absolutely furious Agnus, papers are being flung about in the office he has occupied. The look of abject fury on his face is nearly homicidal, people. In the hail of research papers, he eventually slams both gloved hands down on the desk he had left the Gear on and bellows in unbridled ire.]
Canst thou not minister to a mind diseased? Pluck from the memory a rooted sorrow! Raze out the written troubles of the brain!
[The noise that escapes him isn't so much a huff as an acidic, sardonic snarl of raging hate. Yeah, sure, he's quoting from a man begging to have something purged from his memory. Only, ironically as hell.]
And with some sweet oblivious antidote cleanse the stuffed bosom of that perilous stuff which weighs upon the heart? BAH!
[Have a look into his eyes for a moment, Route. See that? They're almost entirely bloodshot. His face is a lovely shade of red, too. Like a beetroot.]
Where. Are. My. Notes?! I am missing three and a half d-d-d-d-d-d-...days!
[Hey, did you guys like that last snarl? Because here's another one, only louder. Agnus turns on his heels and growls audibly as he goes off. The camera remains on, but he's basically just throwing nearly everything about in rage as he looks for the missing days connected to those...bizarre dreams.
...were there really two ducks? Talking to him? It's nearly unbelievable....nearly. But, three whole days just...gone? No, that is not even remotely acceptable.]

Scene One: Act Three [Text]
May. 15th, 2012 03:20 pmWell, it seems I've become quite well adjusted to this new world. Already I find myself in the company of some fellow academics and researchers of various backgrounds. While this world still confuses me in some respects, I feel I've found myself a place that will be quite conducive to my new field of study into these magnificent creatures.

Attention: This is Grunt Agnus speaking. I have been t-t-t-told to seek out the Researcher Gorthan in Celadon City. P-p-pending a request for leave to travel there, I would like to arrange to speak with him. Gorthan of the R&D devision, could I have a m-m-moment of your t-time?

The Preamble Becons| Scene One: Act One
May. 6th, 2012 06:17 pm[The camera opens to some slight shifting as it traces the path of the ethereal being it has been pointed at, there is a slight bit of delay and the furious sound of a pen on paper in the very near background. Anima, a Misdreavous, is eagerly flitting about somewhere in Goldenrod while a certain mad scientist is taking notes.]
...not entirely unlike their p-p-power, however so very different in so very profoundly many ways. So many subspecies with infinitely many different potential uses and talents. A nearly inexhaustible amount of resources here for research...
[The camera pauses as Anima is now staring directly into it and beyond it. It makes a few cries, then passes through the camera and begins to do...something. Immediately the camera shifts wildly in various directions and Agnus makes a very obvious noise of irritation.]

[The camera pauses as Anima is now staring directly into it and beyond it. It makes a few cries, then passes through the camera and begins to do...something. Immediately the camera shifts wildly in various directions and Agnus makes a very obvious noise of irritation.]
Anima. Anima! Return that at once, you m-m-m-miserable phantom! Anima! I am p-p-perfectly aware of where I need to be.
[Cut to Agnus' face, sans monocle, noticeably irritated. Anima hovers around him enthusiastically.]
It was my assumption that these strange c-creatures would prove vastly less unwieldy to a keen wit and immovable will. They most certainly do not. [He reaches out and snatches the monocle back up from the creature when it is unexpected, then places it back on his face calmly.]
If any members of the O-order of t-t-the Sword are present on this band, I advise you to contact me immediately. Chief Alchemist Agnus, reporting. Awaiting c-c-c-contact, over and out. [The broadcast cuts out, but the link is left open for contact.]
