You've lost some allies recently, haven't you? That...Trish woman, and now little Nero. You know, I realized something rather interesting after her gear was disconnected. I was no longer able to contact 'Gloria'. What a very odd coincidence, isn't it? At any rate, Dante, you must be feeling rather down lately. You have my most heartfelt condolences, truly.
You know, I'll bet you may be a little curious about my research. I've actually finished those handy little...devices you got a sneak peek at. I've actually been in quite a fine humor lately, what say you and I get together for a little chat some time? Don't be shy, now, son of Sparda. I can't do any harm to you just the same as you can't harm me. Best we try to show some semblance of an acquaintanceship, eh?

Current state of project as follows:
Approximately 85% complete at current time.
Initial projections for device (85-95%) effectiveness have been exceeded.
Current maximum output recorded at 105%, estimated optimal maximum currently at 125%.
Compilation of research data filed and stored on office PC, back-up data currently in secure location.
Beta schematic for full-scale production version of device completed.
Still needed:
Finalize design schematic for completed production device. <- Ser Rose, when you have some time I'd like to go over the schematics with you so we can finalize the product design and begin full-scale production of the first model.
Summarize all acquired research data for presentation to Administration upon production of first completed model amplifier. <- Gorthan, if you have anything you would like to include here I welcome your input- doubly so for you, Ser Rose.
Perform final testing of completed device to specifications outlined in 'to be completed' list in office.
Contact administration to schedule meeting for presentation. (Hoping Archer has no pressing engagements so that I can also suggest future research opportunities.)
Compile estimated cost of production for finalized device models. (Currently unfortunately theorized to exceed original projections. Likely to become available only to higher level field operatives. Pity.)
Future ideas for research:
Dark types/ Ghost types- theoretically, these species of pokemon should follow very similar schema as uncovered during psychic research. As I suspect, 'ectoplasmic' energy wavelengths and 'dark energy' may well be observable on a similar spectrum as psychic energy. During presentation of devices, should suggest grants for researching these types in the field. A list of prospective locations of collecting data is in the process of research and compilation. Amplification devices for these types may well be a simple matter of modifying current research to suit new wavelength and energy bands. Rather optimistic about this, actually.
On an unrelated side-note, if given the chance, I should very much like to perform a thorough study of 'Legendary' pokemon. During initial stages of research I became quite fascinated with the legends and myths of these creatures. The creatures that appeared during the capture operation and subsequent genetic mutation experiment (followed by subsequent genetic mutation outbreak) would be a good start.
Gorthan- Aware that these ideas would require that I leave Goldenrod for extended periods of time to perform field observation and data collection. A necessary, if somewhat sad, evil of the job. Will be in constant contact with you and Ser Rose, of course. No need for any anxiety or concern there, my friends!

This place doesn't have to worry about demons or some assholes trying to steal Sparda's power. The worst it gets is Team Rocket. It's completely different and better than ours by default. If you wanted, you could completely start over here...do shit you couldn't do back home. With a bunch of creatures who're more human than some of the people I've met. It might not be exactly what you imagined this place as, but I have my own understanding of it.

This aside, Dante, I'm certain we both know there are no second chances for men of my cloth. A lovely sentiment, truly, but I passed the point of redemption a long, long time ago. I perfectly realize the monster that I am. That does not change that I still believe in my own ideals. The world needs fear, order, and punishment to understand order. Humans have mistaken stagnation and irreverence for progress and peace, and this must be rectified with nothing less than a baptism by fire.
